Where to find coconuts in OSRs? ›

Run north into the advanced tier of the guild to harvest the palm tree. Next, cast Catherby Teleport and harvest the coconuts growing on the palm tree found on the east side of the shore.

The tree will produce six coconuts, which grant 41.5 Farming experience each when picked, for a total of 10,509.5 experience per seed from planting to harvest. Palm trees can be harvested repeatedly, with a coconut growing back every 40 minutes for a maximum of six.

A coconut is obtained from a palm tree, which can be grown from a palm sapling in a fruit tree patch, provided that one has level 68 Farming. Players can pay a gardener a fee of 15 papayas to watch over the tree while it grows. A fully grown palm tree grows one coconut per 40 minutes up to a maximum of six per tree.

Players must crack coconuts open with a hammer, and then use the half coconut on a vial, to obtain a vial full of coconut milk and a supercompostable coconut shell. It is not a secondary ingredient to potions, as limpwurt root and red spider's eggs are.

Coconuts can be harvested from palm trees grown within a fruit tree patch. A fully grown coconut tree can grow up to six coconuts at a time. Each coconut, when picked, gives Farming experience. Once all six coconuts have been picked, the tree will slowly produce more coconuts until six more are available again.

In tropical climates with plenty of rainfall, fully ripe unhusked coconuts that fall naturally from the tree can be planted directly where you want them to grow. Choose a coconut in which you can hear the water swishing inside when you shake it, and soak it in a pail of water for two days.

The only way to grow a coconut tree is from a coconut. Coconuts are best planted in a moist, well-draining sandy mixture in a hot, bright spot.

Today, coconut palms grow throughout the tropics in a band around the world 25 degrees north and 25 degrees south of the equator. The tree can be found in Southeast Asia, Indonesia, India, Australia, the Pacific Islands, South America, Africa, the Caribbean, and the southern extremes of North America.

Due to the hard shell and its name it's tempting to think of the coconut as a nut. However, it's technically a special type of fruit called a drupe which contains its seed within a hard stone or shell which in turn is contained within a fleshy (or in the coconut's case, fibrous, outer layer).
